The B.C. Snowboard Association invites all teenage snowboard athletes to try out for the provincial development program Dec. 3 at the Mount Seymour ski hill.
The program supports competitive snowboarders and the development teams train five months a year on snow plus two months of pre-season dry-land training. The program is designed for riders aged 13 to 18 who have some competitive experience. Training take place in the Lower Mainland and Okanagan.
Athletes must have a B.C. Snowboard membership, which can be purchased online or at Saturdays selection camp.
Athletes who make strong contenders will have a competitive mindset and be looking to improve their skills. They will have some local competitive experience and be dedicated to training seriously seven months of the year.
There is no cost for the selection camp.
