Ambitious. Risk-taker. Self-assured. Passionate. A person who gets things done. These are some of the attributes of people born in the Year of the Dragon. (Is it surprising that so many of them are on city council?) WE asked friends of local Dragons to describe their personality.
Ive known Gregor for several years, both outside of politics and recently as part of city council. Dragons are both compassionate and intelligent, but they are unique in that they dont try to flaunt their traits. Instead, they choose to lead by action, not words. Thats a good description of Gregor.

Raymond and I went to the same East Side high school (Windermere Secondary) and although he was in a younger grade than me, his personality was well known at school. Then, as now, hes absolutely unafraid of challenges and will take very calculated risks. Dont pick a fight with him unless you are sure you are absolutely correct and have all your facts in order. Hes passionate, deeply caring and freely helps others while rarely asking for help himself.
Kerry Jang, City Councillor
My dear friend Adriane is a good fit for the traditional attributes of the Dragon personality. She is truly a free spirit. Adriane has boundless energy and the Dragons love of big ideas. She is confident, fearless and does command respect. I hope 2012 will continue to bring good fortune her way!

Kierrie is a fun-loving, gentle young man who is a pleasure to be around. He has a good sense of humour while at the same time is very dedicated to his personal development. He started out the 2011 season on the practice roster and after a number of weeks of hard work and determination, took full advantage of an opportunity to be on the starting roster. He was a big part of our success in 2011 and we were thrilled to see him score his first professional TD in the Grey Cup.
