Remember Mike Graziano? He’s the 24-year-old entrepreneur who’s attempting to visit all 195 countries on the planet before the clock strikes midnight on his 30th birthday.
Yesterday, Graziano posted a video on YouTube, documenting a motorcyclist attempting to rob his videographer, Alex Hennesy, at gunpoint while on a bike tour through Buenos Aires. As of 10am this morning, the video has over 810,000 views and growing.
He writes on the video’s description (all sic):
I was on a bike tour in a rough part of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in broad daylight when a thief attempted to steal my camera gear at gunpoint. I miraculously happened to be recording with a gopro on my forehead and captured this amazing piece of footage!!
The video shows the would-be thief nearly riding his motorcycle into the cameraman's bicycle. The thief then pulls up beside Hennesy, pulls out a gun from and demands his backpack.
Hennesy manages to escape with all his possessions and flags down a police officer a few blocks away.
Last year, Graziano launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund his so-called “Global Degree.” Along with Hennesy, the two would document their travels, claiming they “will be marching into the most 'dangerous' areas on earth and will surprise everybody with the level of welcoming and gracious people they meet, leading to a serious evaluation of the assumptions we make about nations.”
According to the YouTube write-up, the attempted robbery won’t curtail their travel plans.
