A Vancouver man is facing several charges in a West End sex assault dating back to November.
Tyler Emerson Gagnon, 35, has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement, robbery and uttering threats in the alleged assault that took place in the early morning hours of Nov. 17.
Just before 3 a.m., a woman reported that a man followed her into an apartment building on Bute Street near Pendrell Street and attacked her before fleeing. Gagnon was arrested the next day and held in police custody in an unrelated matter.
