Acting on a tip, Vancouver police have arrested a sex offender who had failed to return to a halfway house in Vancouver on Saturday.
Forty-seven year old Stanley Porter was found near the area of Powell Street and Jackson Avenue just after 5 p.m. on March 10.
Earlier that day, the VPD had issued a Canada-wide warrant for Porter's arrest. He has a criminal history for sexual assault and sexual interference and is serving a 10-year long-term supervision order.

Meanwhile, police are still looking for 42-year-old Kevin Jerome Holden, who is serving a five-year sentence for a hostage-taking and also failed to return to a Vancouver halfway house.
Police say Holden is white, 6 feet tall, weighs 160 pounds, has short blonde hair, blue eyes, and numerous tattoos. He was last seen wearing a black hoody, blue jeans, black runners and was carrying a black and grey duffel bag.
As well as the 2013 hostage-taking conviction, Holden has 34 prior convictions for breach of trust, violence, and property related offences.
Anyone who sees him, or knows of his whereabouts, is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
