Vancouver police are looking for a driver after a cyclist was hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.

VPD media relations officer Const. Steve Addison said a woman was riding west on Pender Street near Granville when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver stopped but fled the scene, possibly with a passenger who was in the vehicle, while another passenger stayed and waited for police.

“We’re looking for the driver,” Addison said. “We know who he is.”

The cyclist was taken to hospital but not seriously injured.

The intersection was closed for some time but is now open to traffic.
