Vancouver police are looking for a Good Samaritan who helped a woman escape unharmed after a man exposed himself and threatened her in Marpole.

The incident took place just before 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21. The man allegedly exposed himself and threatened the woman, who was walking near the area of Granville Street and West 71st Avenue. A Good Samaritan intervened, allowing the woman to leave the area unharmed.

“We are thankful that the man in this case intervened and we are now asking him to come forward, as his information is believed to be important to the investigation,” said media relations officer Sgt. Jason Robillard.

A 40-year-old Vancouver man was recently arrested in the case. Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are asking the Good Samaritan, or anyone who has information about the incident, to call 604-717-0604.
