Vancouver's Red Sun chef is Chinese Chef of the Year

Kent Wong was chosen as the inaugural Chinese Chef of the Year at Food Expo. The chef at Red Sun Seafood Restaurant at Fraser and 17th shared the credit with his assistant at the competition, Mike Lee, who also happens to be his mentor.

Kent Wong was chosen as the inaugural Chinese Chef of the Year at Food Expo. The chef at Red Sun Seafood Restaurant at Fraser and 17th shared the credit with his assistant at the competition, Mike Lee, who also happens to be his mentor. Presenting the trophy at the convention centre, at left, was Mark von Schellwitz, vice-presisent of the Western branch of the Canadian Restaurant and Food Services Associations.
