Anonymous Twitter user @HiddenCashYVR is stashing $100 in envelopes and hiding them around Vancouver, but not before taking a photo and posting the location on Twitter.
The first tweet came May 28, 2014:
Let's start with a super-easy one. This is the view from the first little envelope... pic.twitter.com/GcyQFbCMT8

By May 27, the account still had fewer than 1,000 followers. By June 2, there were nearly 23,000 followers.
The account follows on the heels of @hiddencash, a pay-it-forward minded user based in San Francisco who encourages winners to "Do something today for someone who can never repay you."
On June 2, @HiddenCashYVR hid an envelope near the Courier's newsroom and I ran off with Chris Cheung, a summer intern who enters UBC this September. Enjoy the video and please excuse the panting.
