If Christmas isnt your bag, dont worry. Vancouver is trying to make everybody happy on December 25:

The Vancouver Aquarium is showcasing its Luminescence exhibit from 11:30am to 4:30pm.

Robson Skating Rink is open from noon to 5pm.

A number of films, including American Hustle, 47 Ronin, The Wolf of Wall Street, and even the latest Sly Stallone flick, are premiering. Buyer beware: this is also when Hollywood dumps its worst movies into the mix, movies that were neither exciting enough to draw crowds in the summer, nor intelligent enough to really get by during the fall Oscar season. If you cant handle Keanu Reaves imitating a ninja, steer clear.

Of course, theres nothing like blasting your quads to improve your mood. Thankfully, Hillcrest, Kitsilano and Trout Lake fitness centres will all be open, as well as the aquatic centre. Golf courses at Fraserview, Langara and McCleery will also be open for putters.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is hosting Canyon Lights, with massive Douglas fir trees decked out in lights and the suspension bridge itself glittering in the night. The event runs from 4-9 pm, with transit service running from Canada Place to the canyon.

If you feel like saving your fun until Boxing Day, Chabad East Van is holding a special skating session at Trout Lake ice rink, as part of its annual post-Chanukah festivities.

Theres no need to burrow down. Enjoy a calm and peaceful Vancouver!
