I live up in the mountains in Merritt and I have a quick comment in regards to the Lulus wall paintings. (WE Vancouver, Oct. 24.) Because Merritt was trying to become Canadas country capitol for music, we had a very well known artist spray murals all over our town on certain buildings. It was great; we all loved it. However (!!!), Im sorry to say that there are still bad people with paint cans who just spray to be heard and they dont care what it is they spray on. We had some of our murals painted over by some tool with a spray can, so just because the Lulus are upclass folks (I hate those words) they shouldnt think for one second that someone wont come and spray over anything they put on that wall. We in Merritt thought the same way and look what happened here? Some of us had to take out own time and money to clean the murals.

The other day I was walking up Davie; at the corner of Davie and Jervis there was a man on his bike with his right hand on the pedal and in his left hand he was carrying a toddler. I said to him, I dont like what Im seeing. That looks very dangerous. He said, It is dangerous. Thats all. If I ever see someone else doing that, I will scream at that person. Its extremely stupid behaviour.

To a certain lunch spot that serves meat and bread. Your styling is beautiful and your food concept is sound, but have you been to a landfill? I just want you to stand on the pile, then reconsider giving me all that garbage with my food. And if you buy compostable spoons, compost them it doesnt help the landfill to put them there.

To the SUV driver who angrily honked at the other driver who had stopped at a marked crosswalk on the Granville Bridge to let a pedestrian cross, think before you let the rest of the world know that you are inconvenienced by their presence. As a person who walks across the bridge often, Im dismayed by the number of drivers who totally disregard the safety of others, especially those who are working on the bridges seismic upgrades and are exposed to the stupidity of others on a constant basis.
