Remembrance Day
Wearing the poppy today to remember.

For related reading today, we have two stories for you focusing on the forgotten. Mike Howell writes about a Vancouver veteran from Afghanistan who's had a deeply troubled life since returning from Canada's most recent war.

Sandra Thomas writes about a veteran of the Korean War, who notes that it took decades before the Canadian government honoured the thousands of veterans from that bloody conflict.

As I post this, attendance at the various ceremonies in Vancouver is reported to be solid and social media today is full of personal remembrances of people remembering family and friends who are veterans or who died in our country's wars and peacekeeping missions.

Here's praying for an end to all war and the preservation of peace for which too have many died.
