In the lead up to ROVE the Mount Pleasant art walk coming up on September 30th we are going to introduce to you to some of the artists, galleries and curated spaces that will be taking part! Today we are excited to share what to expect at the Burrard Arts Foundation Gallery and also some brand new artworks that appear throughout the art walk!

The mission of the Burrard Arts Foundation (BAF) is to promote the development of, and excellence in, the visual arts in Canada – accomplished through innovative art projects and programs. Public Art, as a means for creative expression, has the potential to reach the broadest crosssection of our communities, and is a primary focus of the Burrard Arts Foundation. From murals, to sculpture, to installation art and beyond, they aim to engage all people through fun and inspiring public art projects done in collaboration with outstanding artists from Canada and abroad.

Within their gallery and studio space, BAF Gallery, they promote and exhibit engaging contemporary art in an environment that aims to be open and accessible to everyone. Be sure to visit the BAF Gallery to view James Nizam's exhibition Ascensions of Time when you are on the ROVE walk!

Other must view art to look out for on the ROVE walk? Murals created during the Vancouver Mural Festival! Local and international artists have created 35+ brand new permanent murals all along Main Street between Prior St and 16th Ave. We have marked out a number of them on the ROVE map for you to view while on your self guided tour in Mt Pleasant.
