Fortune Sound Club is hosting Magkasama on May 19, 2025. It will be "a celebration of Filipino culture, resilience, and community," following the Lapu Lapu festival tragedy.

A benefit concert has been organized to help support Vancouver's Filipino community and those impacted by the Lapu Lapu festival tragedy.

Dubbed "Magkasama," the Filipino word for "together," the concert will take place May 19 at Fortune Sound Club in Chinatown. Organizers want to celebrate Filipino culture, resilience, and community.

"The night will showcase Filipino artists and community allies through dancers, live performances, DJs, art installations, barbers offering haircuts, and more to be announced," describe the organizers.

Artists on stage will include Manila Grey, P-Lo, Noodles, and many others.

There will also be a silent auction and a raffle with almost $10,000 in prizes.

All of the proceeds will go to those impacted, according to the event announcement.

"This is more than a fundraiser," reads a poster for the event. "It's a sign of strength, unity, and pride in our community."
