If you missed participating in the UBC Holi festival on March 23, make sure that you take advantage of the colour frenzy this May at Colour Fest 2019.
Diwali Fest will host the highly-anticipated festival on May 11, and invites all members of the community to partake in the joyful event. The organizers will be celebrating the South Asian spring festival of Holi with music, dance and a community colour war. As such, you'll come to the event wearing white and leave coated in a multitude of vibrant colours.
This is a family friendly event and admission is free. In addition, participants will be able to purchase Colour packets on site. Close to 3,000 people have expressed in the event on Facebook so far.
The festival is looking for talented artists to perform at Colour Fest on May 11 as well as the Diwali events in the fall. If you would like to perform, send your profile and videos of past performances to board@diwalifest.ca.
The venue is to be announced, and more details will be released after that time.
