DAILY FLICKR PICKR DAY 590

Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!) I can honestly say, that in my first 240 posts here at the VIA that I've never chosen a photograph based on it's title.

Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!)

I can honestly say, that in my first 240 posts here at the VIA that I've never chosen a photograph based on it's title. Today, however, in my 241st post, I will admit that a photograph's title was the icing on the cake, the element that sealed the deal, the component that reaffirmed my selection.

You see, in our busy day to day lives it's all too easy to forget what we have to be thankful for. I spoke to a neighbour recently who had a near-death experience at age 57. At his 60th birthday party this weekend he told the guests that after that health scare, he really began to appreciate every single day, and he wanted to make sure that he not only enjoyed each and every one of them but that he was doing something important with them.

So now I suppose it's a good time to introduce today's photograph, taken last week at Lighthouse Park. From one Vancouver guy to another - actually TheVancouverGuy - I say thank you for your contribution to the VIA Flickr Pool, and thank you for reminding us that Life Is SO Beautiful.
