Dan Mangan at the Roundhouse

Over the past few months I have repeatedly told you how awesome I think Vancouver musician Dan Mangan is and how you should run and check out his music any chance you get.

Over the past few months I have repeatedly told you how awesome I think Vancouver musician Dan Mangan is and how you should run and check out his music any chance you get. All the while Dan has been touring his second album, Nice, Nice, Very Nice, and has gotten a ton of super positive press from not only this tiny little local blog of ours but what seems like almost every single publication in this country, and many more in the cities he's visited abroad.

As part of the Cultural Olympiad, Dan played a show at The Roundhouse last week and it was my great fortune to be able to sit in and enjoy the awesomeness. I love seeing shows in small capacity venues and this cozy little theatre in Yaletown did not let me down, nor did Dan and the amazing trio of friends he brought with him to help out.

I wonder how many of the reviews that I mentioned above have ended in very obvious plays on the title of his album and I run the risk of being incredibly cliche by doing the same but I must say that the show was more than nice. In fact, it was very nice, and then some.
