Enjoy classical music by candlelight in this gorgeous Vancouver concert series (PHOTOS)

Concert goers can enjoy the works of history’s greatest composers like Chopin, Vivaldi and Beethoven

In Vancouver, you can now listen to classical music much the same way concert-goers did over 250 years ago, in person and by candlelight.

Launched by the entertainment discovery platform Fever in 2020, Candlelight is a concert series created to make classical music more accessible, aiming to reach a new demographic and create more affordable concerts for all.

“Fever has been able to provide a platform for these artists and in turn bring classical music to an entirely new audience, with 70% under 40 years old,” the company stated in a release.

The concerts and their incredible ambiance have already brought music to the ears of more than one million people in over 80 cities worldwide. The concerts are held in unique venues from churches, libraries to mansions and other historic landmarks. For Vancouver, that space will be the Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church.

Coming this July, the Listeso String Quartet will be performing some of the most recognizable scores from cinema including themes from Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and many other works from John Williams.
