One of the most influential rock bands of the '90s is returning to Vancouver after 12 years.
The two-time Grammy Award-winning group, famously known as NIN, is hitting the road for the first time since 2022, bringing with them a song book that includes Closer, Hurt, Wish, Only, and also songs that have longer titles.
For local fans, the Sunday, Aug. 10, show will be Trent Reznor and company's first appearance in Vancouver since 2013.
Nine Inch Nails formed in 1988 and, with more than 30 million records worldwide, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
The group, primarily composed of founder and singer Reznor along with collaborator Atticus Ross, has toured less in recent years as the pair has also begun making music for film and TV (and won Oscars, an Emmy, a BAFTA, Golden Globes, and two (other) Grammys).
Opening for Nine Inch Nails is German producer and DJ Boys Noize.
Tickets
It appears some additional tickets have been released almost behind the stage, with prices as low as $80.50 ($21 of which are fees). However, those are to the side of (and almost behind) the stage.
Elsewhere, resale tickets on Ticketmaster are going for anywhere from $92 for a handful of seats in the upper bowl to more than $700 for floor seats.
Other resale platforms, like SeatGeek and StubHub, are showing similar prices.
Transportation
No additional transit is planned by TransLink. There are also no significant alerts for Sunday night.
Hullo Ferries from Vancouver Island (Nanaimo, specifically) will have a late-night sailing for the concert. The ferry will leave from Vancouver Harbour (near the Harbour Air terminal) at 11:59 p.m.
Restrictions
A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.
Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.
Other common-sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.
Cashless venue
Rogers Arena has gone cashless.
"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.
Fan service
Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.
Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (their section, row, and seat number) and get help.
