The sky was on fire for the second show of the Honda Celebration of Light with a powerful pyrotechnic display by home team Canada on July 31.
The annual affair draws up to 400,000 spectators nightly, and offers a fun-filled event in English Bay complete with breathtaking visuals, live music, and food trucks. This year also marked the first time that India or Croatia have performed at the Vancouver festival, and the first time that India performed at an international fireworks festival in history.
Last year, South Korea won the competition, based on its timing and sync, size of the show and novel effects in its pyrotechnics display.
Have a look at some of the spectacular snaps taken by locals and visitors at last night's show, as well as some awe-inspiring videos.
Catch the final night of the Honda Celebration of Light on Saturday, Aug. 3 when Mirnovec Fireworks will represent Croatia at 10 p.m., rain or shine.
