A mini book sale is happening at Richmond Public LIbrary on Saturday.

From a music and dance gathering to a group mental health walk, there's something for everyone in Richmond this weekend.

1. Book sale

Friends of the Richmond Library is hosting its library mini sale with many gently used and some like brand new books in English and Chinese.

Genres of books include fiction, classics and literature, children's and other non-fiction categories.

Books are priced individually, with proceeds from the sale to benefit Richmond public libraries. Please bring cash for payment and your own bags and boxes.

Date: Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Richmond Public Library Cambie branch, 150-11590 Cambie Rd.

2. Garage Sale

A big garage sale is happening in a Richmond complex this weekend.

There will be clothes, shoes and never-used items, according to a Facebook event page.

Date: Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: 12055 Greenland Dr.

3.  Music and dance 

The Open Jam and Dance in the Park is taking place on several Saturdays this summer starting tomorrow.

Bring your instruments, your groove or visit to snack.

Date: Saturday, June 21, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Location: Grass field behind Richmond Cultural Centre Annex, 7660 Minoru Gate

4. Walk for mental health

The Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada is hosting a walk for people to destress, connect with community members while enjoying some fresh air near King George Park.

The walk is free for all ages with free tea and refreshments

5.  Musqueam historical tour

Learn about the rich Indigenous history of Terra Nova with Musqueam Knowledge Keeper Morgan Guerin this weekend for a walking tour.

The event is being organized by the Beth Tikvah Congregation.

Date: Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Location: Terra Nova Adventure Play parking lot, 2340 River Rd.
Price: $18 per person
