This scene with Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell was shot in Ladner back in February 2021 at the "Pine Ridge Motel."

One of the many movie and television productions that swept through Ladner about a year ago will be released by Netflix on Friday.

The Adam Project stars Vancouver’s own Ryan Reynolds, along with Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Walker Scobell. The science fiction movie, directed by Shawn Levy, is about time-travelling fighter pilot Adam Reed (Reynolds) who accidentally crash-lands in 2022 and teams up with his 12-year-old self (Scobell) on a mission to save the future.

Filming took place around Metro Vancouver, including at the Sundance Motel and Pub in East Ladner back in February 2021. It was converted into the "Pine Ridge Motel." Production wrapped up a month later.

The Sundance was also used for a number of episodes of the ABC hit crime series Big Sky that filmed its entire first season in Metro Vancouver before shifting to New Mexico for season two. The NBC series Debris also made a stop at the Sundance. That sci-fi series has since been cancelled.
