"The Audacity" is a Netflix show starring Leah Gibson, Curtis Lum, Evan Rein, and Zach Galifianakis that is filming scenes in August 2025 in New Westminster.

Locals might have the chance to spot several actors on the set of a new Netflix show filming in Metro Vancouver.

Voltaire Productions Inc. commenced filming on a new project called The Audacity on Monday, Aug. 4, inside the Anvil Centre in New Westminster. It will continue filming interior and exterior scenes at the centre and the surrounding area for several days, according to a resident notification letter.

The shoot will kick off with scenes filming inside the centre on Monday and will continue through Thursday. On Friday night, the production will move outside the centre, with filming outside the Anvil Centre entrance, and at 701 Columbia St. The area will appear brighter than usual.

The exterior scenes will be filmed from 9 p.m. through to 3 a.m.

From Saturday, Aug. 9, to Monday, Aug. 11, a small crew will clean up the interior of the Anvil Centre.

A local who goes by @NewWestBoy shared the resident notification letter on X, formerly Twitter. He also shared an image from the set, noting that it would be as easy to spot actors on the set as "shooting fish in a barrel."

What is The Audacity about?

The Audacity is about the power struggle between an "ambitious CEO and his manipulative psychologist" after a data privacy scandal threatens their livelihood in Silicon Valley, according to IMDb.com.

The show stars Leah Gibson (Batwoman, Jessica Jones), Curtis Lum (The Night Agent, Titans), Evan Rein (Heartland, Upload), and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis).
