Others may claim their events as the fastest route to holiday cheer, but Paul Anthony’s Talent Time Christmas Special has a proven 5 year track record of delivering the “Christmasss-iest” experience this side of the North Pole.  On Wednesday, December 4, the Biltmore Cabaret will be filled with the maximum amount of Christmas trees that the fire code will allow; all to set the scene for East Van’s favourite holiday variety show.

Audience members will be greeted by an active craft fair, seasonal treats, a re-gifting station, and a chance to have a free picture taken with Santa and/or David the Dreidel!  Once viewers have run this festive gauntlet, they’ll sit down to enjoy the main attraction: TALENT!

This year the show will feature the Vancouver Thunderbird Chorus - a 25 member choral group formed in 1969 that continues to entertain kids of all ages with energetic arrangements of various Christmas classics.  Always extending an olive branch to other cultures, Talent Time welcomes the teenaged African percussion group Tambai Marimba and a Hanukkah dance troupe from the Jewish Community Centre. Of course, you can also expect lots of comedy, a seasonal cover charge piñata, a grande finale featuring some of your favourite past guests, and so much more.

If you really want to get an idea of what to expect, all you need to do is watch the one minute highlight video from last year's televised special.  If this doesn't get you to the show this Wednesday, you are officially a grinch.

Cover is $10, doors open at 8pm, and talent takes the stage at 9pm.  Give yourself the gift of joy.  This may be the fuel you need to make it to the new year.
