Ryan Reynolds is getting a park as a birthday gift, but not in Vancouver

Have you ever gotten a birthday park?

For Ryan Reynolds birthday Rob McElhenney is working to build him a park. But it won't be in Vancouver; it'll be in Wrexham.

For some people, the most unusual birthday gift they've been given is chickens on a different continent. For others, it's a bag of loose, melted chocolates.

For Ryan Reynolds, it's (probably) plans for a memorial park in his honour.

Vancouver's favourite local actor (though he currently resides in a place called the New York State) turned 47 on Oct. 23 and (likely) received many gifts.

One that's been made public is from Rob McElhenney, who co-owns Wrexham AFC with Reynolds. Via social media, and with some help from Chris Pratt, McElhenney announced the Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park, which will be built in Wrexham, Wales.

The park already has a website (dubbed Parks and Wrex) which includes images of the planned park. It would include space for pop-up stores, a statue of Reynolds, and actual green lanterns. A gift store with t-shirts has opened to help fund the park.

While plans for the park haven't been submitted to Wrexham's city council, the town's Twitter account tweeted a thank you to McElhenney.

According to local media in the Welsh town, the birthday park actually solves an issue the town has been facing.
