I'm kind of reluctant to share this secret of mine...but have you heard of a little thing going on in Vancouver called Social Bites?
Hobby Chefs and Foodies unite in this evening of dining in the living rooms of complete strangers. Four different dishes, four different chefs, 12 couples (friends, family, lovers, whomever!):
"A Social Bites Dinner Excursion is not your ordinary dinner party. Dinner excursions could take place in your own kitchen, in your neighbour’s living room or in a backyard you’ve never been to before. Our dining events are all about fabulous food made and enjoyed by fabulous people. Dinner excursions are for foodies with foodies."
After your meals you head to a meet up location. This past excursion in Kits lead us to Call The Kettle Black where everyone was treated to a tea tasting by Dao Tea and chocolate from the Cocoa Nymph.
During the event, a Hobby Chef is crowned the winner. This month's was: James & Chad who served up venison three ways!
