		SCENE AND HEARD showcases the independent music scene here in Vancouver. With over 28,000+ artists, boasting more than 140,000+ tracks, the CBC Music/CBC Radio 3 web site is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada. With that massive library along with tools for members (free to join!), we’re taking advantage of what they’ve set up by bringing you a fresh batch of music every week featuring local groups who have tracks (entire albums, even!) on the R3 site.

Beck's latest album, 'Song Reader' has been released in an almost forgotten form: sheet music. These 20 new songs have never been released or recorded and the only way to hear them is to play the songs yourself or find someone who can.

The Broken Mirrors have rallied over twenty of Vancouver's finest musicians to help bring the songs to life one night only at The Rio Theatre!

You'll be able to hear songs performed by: Mother Mother (Ryan Guldemond and Jeremy Page), C.R. Avery, Headwater, Rococode, Hilary Grist, beekeeper, Buckman Coe, Debra-Jean Creelman, Khari Wendell Mclelland (The Sojourners), Leah Abramson, Company B, Ben Rogers, Jesse Waldman, Van Driver, Christie Rose, The SSRI's, Paul Pigat (Cousin Harley), Pineapple, Hey Ocean, and (of course) The Broken Mirrors!

The show is this Thursday, January 17 @ The Rio Theatre - Doors 8pm Show 8:30 and it's $15 in advance at http://riotheatretickets.ca/ or $18 at the door...but in the meantime, we've asked the guys of The Broken Mirrors to put a playlist together of some of their favourite songs by Vancouver musicians, which you can hear by clicking below!
