Did Vancouver get a new SkyTrain station? Waterfront transformed into superhero city terminal

Welcome to Metropolis.

Superman & Lois transformed Vancouver's Waterfront Station and Granville Square into Centennial Station for its season 3 finale.

Vancouver locals may spot some odd signage near Waterfront Station.

Several maps showing an unfamiliar transit network have popped up near the station.

The maps, which look similar to Vancouver's TransLink transit maps, actually depict the Metropolis Metro Transit Network of the fictional city Metropolis in the popular superhero series Superman & Lois

The TV show, which follows Superman, a.k.a. Clark Kent, and journalist Lois Lane as they face the challenges of being parents in today's world, is known to film around Vancouver. Locals have seen big, fiery explosions on set and the caped DC Comics superhero on top of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

One of the lead actors even performed his first solo gig at a local pub.

Vancouver's Waterfront Station was transformed into Metropolis' Centennial Station, complete with several maps and a large sign reading "Centennial Plaza" on Granville Square.

The TV show is filming its season three finale in Downtown Vancouver this weekend (March 11-12) along Howe and Cordova streets, on Granville Walkway, and at Granville Square.
