People hanging out on the "coolest street in Vancouver" may have noticed some filming at a popular restaurant.
Commercial Drive has been lauded as one of the world's coolest streets by the global travel publication Time Out. And Havana restaurant, located on the bustling thoroughfare, is a big draw, thanks in part to its iconic patio and Latin-inspired cocktails and dishes.
Scenes for the new feature film, Voicemails for Isabelle, starring Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson, were filmed at the restaurant on Tuesday, July 29, The film is directed by Leah McKendrick.
Deutch plays a young woman coping with her sister's death by leaving numerous voicemails on her sister's phone that chronicle her life in San Francisco. The phone number gets reassigned, and a real estate agent starts receiving all the juicy messages, according to Deadline.
Filming began on July 10 and will continue through Aug. 26.
