Art of Craft, the latest show at the Museum of Vancouver opened to a large audience last night (Jan 13). After mixing and mingling and a few speeches, the large group of museum-goes filed into the exhibit area and "Ooo!"'s and "Ahh!"'s were abound.

The PEAK Performance Project is a seven-year, 5.29 million dollar contest open to all musicians in British Columbia. The project was created by Vancouver's very own 100.5 The PEAK and Music BC to develop BC based emerging artists.

Yesterday I went to this letterpress workshop at the W2 Community Media Arts Centre with guest speaker Marika Swan and 2010 Artist-in-Residence Jeremy Crowle.

Robson Square was poppin this past Sunday as part of the Cultural Olympiad . Not only did Love & Electrik perform live there, the also had a mini mountain set up on the other side for rail slides and all.

I just got word that the Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC) is accepting entries for a photography exhibit called New Faces of British Columbia, to be held in Prince George, Abbotsford, Nanaimo and Vancouver.

Yet another well executed, thought-and-conversation-provoking exhibit is launching tomorrow at the Museum Of Vancouver. Or, that is, the MOV to those who know it and love it as we do.
