Sun-seekers will soon have a new seawall-adjacent spot for food and drink, as the Beach Ave Bar & Grill gears up to launch.

Beach Ave Bar & Grill is moving into the space at 1-1012 Beach Avenue, previously occupied by TAPShack - the quirky off-shoot project under the Tap & Barrel umbrella; they've got a remaining location in Coal Harbour that is aiming to re-open this summer. TAPShack had taken over from the beloved so-called Pirate Pub, which was technically called the Burrard Bridge Marine Bar and Grill.

Situated right under the Burrard Bridge, the bar-restaurant space offers excellent views of False Creek and Granville Island.

The new venture describes itself as follows: "Neighbourhood hangout serving west coast inspired fare with local craft beer, wine and original cocktails."

Currently, the Beach Ave Bar & Grill is in the hiring stage but has indicated they plan to launch their food and bar menu in early June. The restaurant will be operating with reduced capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, given the season and location, they do expect to be busy.

We'll update with more info as it becomes available. You can follow Beach Ave Bar & Grill on Instagram or Facebook.
