Slicing into a fruit-studden, sugar-dusted stollen on Christmas morning is as comforting as it gets. Dig into doughnuts, or try something like Italian panettone (sweet bread)or a French Buche de Noel (yule log) to transport you out of Vancouver - even just for a moment.
Popina has "puffcreams" and Mister has ice creams and Beta5 has cream puffs galore, plus all the best chocolate shops have got Santas of all shapes and sizes. You can even get a cake that looks like a Christmas ham (thanks to Punk Rock Pastries).
The only problem is some of these are only around in limited quantities, so get your orders in fast before they're gone until next year.
