Delta's Four Winds light beer renamed Celebration of Light Lager

Local brewery has its light lager named as official beer of Vancouver's big fireworks show in July

Deltans in downtown Vancouver for the Honda Celebration of Light, can walk around with a bit more swagger this year after a local beer has been named the official beer for the July event.

Four Winds Light, temporarily renamed Celebration of Light Lager, has been tapped to become the official beer for this year’s fireworks show that takes place in the big smoke, July 19, 23, and 26.

“Four Winds is proud to be the exclusive beer sponsor of this year’s Honda Celebration of Light,” said Adam Mills, co-founder and general manager of Four Winds Brewing on 72nd Street. “This event has been a cornerstone of summer in the city, for as long as I can remember. We’ve been coming down since we were kids, and now I get to share it with my own. It’s one of those rare occasions that brings the whole city together, and we’re truly honoured to be part of it.”

The limited-edition Celebration of Light Lager will be stocked throughout B.C. in six-packs and 15-packs.

Four Winds also will be the exclusive brewery partner at all participating ticketed bars and restaurants during the Honda Celebration of Light.

Celebration Of Light Lager is brewed with Canadian Pilsner malt and rice, delivering an ultra-light body and clean finish at four percent alcohol, says a news release.
