Early egg nog arrival takes Vancouver consumers by surprise

After hearing a rumour yesterday afternoon I tweeted this out and received an overwhelming response: BREAKING: we are receiving reports that eggnog has become available in #Vancouver area supermarkets. Please tweet photos if you can confirm.
After hearing a rumour yesterday afternoon I tweeted this out and received an overwhelming response:
Some folks cried "Too soon! Too soon!" while others (like myself) rubbbed our hands together in anticipation, hoping it to be true. To my delight it seems that the egg nog season is getting longer every year. I don't remember Thanksgiving being a time that we ever toasted egg nogs over turkey, and I am totally fine with whoever is making the decision to draw out the Season of the Nog. So we got quite a few responses from people saying they saw it in stores already, but I was holding out for photographic evidence before calling it. Then @KateBaxter came through and TWEETED this photo below to let us know that she found it at Save-On in Westbrook Mall. Then @wimp_pop TWEETED us the image below and said it was "Available days ago and PriceSmart and East is West Market on Main.". It is widespread, friends. Got get some. Its early release is fantastic news for us here at V.I.A. as longtime readers will know that some of us big fans. Remember the Eggnoff Challenge of 2010 where the Museum of Vancouver's Amanda McCuaig and myself went head to head to see who could consume the most egg nog in a set period of time? If it sounds gross, it was, and I totally lost. HERE is the post about her crown. Got an idea for something fun we could do around egg nog this year that doesn't involve gorging on nog? Tweet it at me at @VIAwesome and let's work together to make it happen!
