Nasty dining experience returns to Vancouver next month

The diner specializing in rude service is popping up for a weekend

Want to get bullied, berated, and insulted while you eat lunch?

If dinner at the in-laws' isn't an option, the return of Karen's Diner for one weekend in August is what you've been waiting for.

The rude diner will be an option in Vancouver once again on August 19 and 20 as the pop-up dining experience takes over Zawa Restaraunt on Commercial Drive.

"Customers can expect plenty of sass, great food, and a hefty sprinkle of bad attitude. As Karen's Diner goes, the food is great, the service ungrateful but your experience will be unforgettable," state organizers in a press release.

Tickets are $55. The food options include a burger, fries, and a non-alcoholic drink; there are vegan options as well. Along with the attitude and food, there are games and more to go along with the experience.

Karen's Diner already had a sold-out run in Vancouver this spring, when they set up for a week. They also have permanent locations in Australia, the U.K. and the U.S., with more locations planned.
