New Korean restaurant promising food 'like mom used to make' opens in Coquitlam

A popular Korean restaurant is opening its third restaurant in Coquitlam promising food "like mom used to make."

Kosoo Korean Restaurant, located at 105-1123 Westwood St., held its soft opening on the weekend.

A grand opening is planned for this Friday (June 9).

"Don’t pass up the chance to experience the extraordinary delights and incredible offerings that await you at Kosoo’s latest establishment. We are eagerly looking forward to celebrating with you," the restaurant owners state on Instagram.

Kosoo, which has two prominent locations in Vancouver, promises that its new restaurant will have "what ever you want" from barbecue, chicken feet and beef intestines to wang-galbi soup and bulgogi hot pot.

Kosoo has been operating since 2015, under the leadership of chef and owner Seung-Min Han, who is endeavouring to bring the rich flavours and comfort foods of Seoul to the Tri-Cities.

According to the website, the first Kosoo Korean Restaurant was on Cardero Street, followed up by a second location on Robson Street.
