One of Richmond’s most iconic events, the Richmond Night Market, will go ahead this year.
“We are excited to announce that the Richmond Night Market will return in mid-July. Let’s connect and get back together again this summer,” read the statement from the event management team.
The news came after the province announced its Stage Three of B.C.’s restart plan.
As one of North America’s largest outdoor markets, the event — located on vacant lots next to River Rock Casino – has attracted thousands of people from early May into October in past years, but was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
Earlier this spring, the News reported that the market had been given permission from the city council to reopen this year -- depending on provincial health orders. For more information, visit https://richmondnightmarket.com/.
