It's never been easier to taste your way around one of Metro Vancouver's most vibrant communities. A new self-guided food tour has been created to help steer curious food lovers through Surrey's six neighbourhoods, opening the door to deliciousness spanning numerous cuisines and flavours.

The Surrey Spice Trail was created by Surrey's tourism board, Discover Surrey, with an aim to help locals and visitors know where to go to eat in the vast and diverse municipality.

The map is broken into six regions: Cloverdale; Fleetwood; Guildford; Newton; North Surrey; and South Surrey.

You can also build your own "Spice Trail" map and list by style (like "South Asian street food" for example), ethnicity, or dietary preferences (i.e. vegetarian).

Surrey's Spice Trail includes over 30 restaurants, cafes and retail stores all anxious to show off their specialties.

Use the Spice Trail maps to lead you to Southern Indian fare like dosa, Nepalese dumplings, or Jamaican patties and oxtail stew. Whether you're craving Caribbean heat or Indian sweets, or are curious about the culinary offerings of Columbia, the new guide easily links you to great restaurants in Surrey to check out.

You'll find the Surrey Spice Trail online with details about each cuisine and restaurant. Happy exploring!
