Food often comes from the Fraser Valley and lands on our plates and in our markets in Vancouver, but in September, there's no better time for Vancouver to head east to get to know what's delicious in Abbotsford.
The Taste of Abby is back for a fourth year, kicking off on Sept. 19, 2025, with the event's signature open-air Night Market in Jubilee Park.
Programming for the 10-day festival ranges from intimate hands-on cooking and floral workshops, to a movie night in a winery, live music at a brewery, and a fall-themed long table brunch.
The celebration concludes on Sept. 28 with a fantastic finale, a garden dinner party at Howesclere Evergreens & Gardens.
Some of the events are totally free to attend, like the 2025 BC Culture Days Provincial Kickoff at The Reach Gallery Museum, while others require advanced ticket purchase, like the multi-course dinner at Rookie Blooms Flower Farm crafted by Chef Shawn Harnett using farm-fresh produce from the farm itself.
The Night Market, which is a ticketed event, will feature several local vendors, including Mia Birria, Maan Farms, Restaurant 62, Singletree Winery, Taves Farm, Banter Ice Cream, and many more. Admission for those age 13 and up ($35 plus tax and fees) includes eight food and drink tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased onsite. The evening includes live art and music, and a chance to eat, drink, and mingle.
"Taste of Abby celebrates what makes our community unique including our agriculture. Harvest season is the perfect time to showcase everything our region has to offer," said Clare Seeley, Executive Director of Tourism Abbotsford, in the event's media release.
