Abbotsford police searching for man after two alleged gunpoint robberies

Two Abbotsford gas stations were robbed just days apart.

Police are looking to identified a man from two robberies in Abbotsford.

Police in Abbotsford are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed two gas stations at gunpoint. 

Just before 8:30 p.m. on April 15, officers responded to a robbery in progress at a gas station in the 32400 block of South Fraser Way. 

Police say a lone man, believed to be in his 30s, displayed a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. 

Two days later, on April 17 just after 6 p.m., police were called to another robbery at a gas station in the 33800 block of Essendene Avenue. The lone man displayed a firearm, took money, and fled on foot. 

Both times the man wore a face covering.

The suspect is being described as six-foot-tall, with a medium build, blonde hair, and wearing a grey hat. 

Abbotsford Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigations and is seeking witnesses with dash camera footage from the areas.
