A man charged with 36 theft and break-in-related charges in communities across Metro Vancouver appeared in court June 23.
Eric Wesley Allan, 35, had been in custody but court documents suggest he received bail in April.
The charges currently before Vancouver Provincial Court date back to November 2021 when he was charged with illegally possessing someone else’s identity documents and obstructing a police officer.
Allan also faces the following charges:
- Theft and possession of an electric bike, mischief for allegedly damaging two bicycle locks, on Aug. 17, 2022.
- Together with Hughes Lelievre Junior, Allan is charged with breaking and entering at a Burnaby apartment building June 15, 2022; the next day, June 16, 2022, it's alleged Allan trafficked in stolen golf clubs.
- Allan and Lelievre are charged with a July 11, 2022 break-in and possessing break-in tools connected with a Vancouver apartment building incident.
- Breaking and entering and possessing tools for doing so at the same Vancouver building, on July 19, 2022.
It’s alleged Allan and Ryan Ward Farley broke into a Vancouver apartment building July 30, 2022. It’s also alleged Farley had a stolen bike in his possession.
Another court document indicates the theft of a bicycle on Aug. 13, 2022.
For Aug. 20, it’s alleged Allan broke into an East Vancouver apartment building and committed an indictable offence. A similar allegation is made for Sept. 17, 2022.
In relation to an incident Aug. 24, 2022, Allan is charged with the theft of an electric bicycle in Vancouver.
Allan is accused with Kandace Hazel Katherine of theft from a Richmond Superstore Oct. 6, 2022.
Allan and Lelievre, meanwhile, are accused of breaking into an apartment building in Vancouver’s West End on Oct. 17, 2022. It’s further alleged Allan broke into a West End residential storage locker two days later.
The charge sheet also includes break-in charges at a West End apartment building: Nov. 9, Dec. 6, Dec. 16 and Jan. 12, 2023.
Allan faces North Vancouver charges in relation to a break-in at a residential building and theft of two bicycles Jan. 5, 2023. There is a further possession of break-in instruments for Jan. 12.
For Jan. 13, 2023, he is accused of breaking and entering at a West End parkade.
Regarding an incident between Dec. 6, 2022 and Jan. 10, 2023, Allan is charged with breaking an entering into an East Vancouver apartment as well as having break-in tools.
In connection with a Squamish incident, Allan is charged with possession of another person’s stolen credit card.
The June 23 court appearance before Judge Patricia Stark was for the setting of future appearance dates.
