Homicide investigators are releasing images of the suspected gunman in Monday's shooting spree in Langley in hopes of bringing witnesses forward.
Police say the now-deceased Jordan Daniel Goggin, 28, wore two different outfits during the shootings.
Five people were shot — including the shooter — between midnight and 5:45 a.m. Monday, resulting in three deaths and two injuries. There were five crime scenes.
A man was found dead at Creekstone Place, while another man was killed at the Langley bus loop near Logan and Glover Road.
Goggin was located near the Langley Bypass and 200th Street where another male victim was discovered with a gunshot injury to his leg. Police say the injury is non-life threatening. It was there Goggin was shot and killed by police.
A woman remains in critical condition after she was shot near 203A Street and Fraser Highway.
The identity of the two deceased victims is not being released but advocates for the unhoused say they were people who were experiencing homelessness.
Goggin was known to police but had non-criminal contact, police say.
Goggin is described as Caucasian, 6'1'' and 68 kg with light brown hair and a slight goatee.
He was wearing a black T-shirt and board shorts. Goggin later changed into brown overalls and a camouflaged short-sleeve T-shirt.
He was driving a white Mazda four-door sedan, which was just a few feet beside a black police SUV. The SUV had more than nine bullet holes through the windshield on the driver's side.
“We are trying to identify additional witnesses to aid in victimology and assessing motive,” Sgt. David Lee with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT). “There may be people out there who remember seeing Goggin, his Mazda, or may have even encountered him."
B.C.'s police watchdog, the Independent Investigations Office, is also investigating.
