On Thursday, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) posted a series of photos to Twitter, showing nine members of the hospital’s Emergency Department team holding a sheet of paper that reads, “I stayed at work for you. You stay at home for us.”

The post asks the public to, “help us stop the spread of #COVID19 by staying home and social distancing”—while putting faces to the anonymous health care workers B.C. is attempting to protect with these social distancing measures.

On Instagram, VCH expanded on that message, writing, “Already doing this? Thank you. Next step: Share this message with your family, friends, coworkers, neighbours and followers. Together, we can reduce the spread and help flatten the curve.”⠀
