Vancouver police investigate fatal collision

A 65-year-old man died Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in East Vancouver, according to the VPD.

A 65-year-old man has died following a single-car collision in East Vancouver Sunday night and Vancouver police are investigating.

The VPD says the driver was heading west near Nootka Street and East 6 Avenue around 7:35 p.m. on Jan. 22, when his Chevrolet Malibu suddenly veered off the road and struck a pole.

He reportedly went into medical distress and died after being taken to the hospital. 

The VPD is asking witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam video of the crash to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
