Vancouver police seek witnesses after pedestrian hit, hospitalized

The Vancouver Police Department is seeking public assistance as it investigates a serious collision that sent one person to hospital May 13.

A 38-year-old man was crossing Vancouver’s Pacific Boulevard at Drake Street at 2:30 p.m. when he was struck by a light blue BMW.

“The man was taken to hospital where he remains with serious, life-altering injuries,” VPD spokesperson Tania Visintin said.

VPD Collision Investigation Unit investigators have located video showing there were pedestrians and vehicles in the area at the time of the collision. 

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch with investigators as soon as possible,” Visintin said.
