Woman transported to hospital after being struck by driver near UBC

The driver left the scene of the collision but was later located by police.

A woman was struck by a driver while walking near a Vancouver university. 

University RCMP were called at 12:03 p.m. on Thursday after a pedestrian was struck by a driver at NW Marine Drive and West Mall on the University Endowment Lands near the University of British Columbia. 

An adult female was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver left the scene of the collision but was later located by police. 

University RCMP believe the driver may have been experiencing a medical issue. 

The investigation is ongoing.
