If you've ever been to or through Prince George B.C., you know the guy.

Mr PG is a gigantic, wooden-looking statue that towers over the landscape as you drive into town, and today the mascot turned 60.

There have been countless variations of him over the years, one being a stout, metal statue that was kidnapped by a Rotary Club member and went on a 10-year-long world tour before returning home.

In this episode of our BC Was Awesome history show, we tell that bizarre story.
