Seaforth Highlanders
Seen training at the armoury in this September 1939 photo, the Seaforth Highlanders were one of the first Canadian regiments to deploy once war was declared. After serving in England during the Battle of Britain, they saw combat in 1943 in Italy and then in the Netherlands, where they were the fist Allied unit to enter Amsterdam after Germany’s surrender.
