Vancouver Blazers
Reflecting the desperation to inject some life into the franchise, Vancouver Blazers centre Claude St. Sauveur scores a first-period breakaway goal against Cleveland Crusaders goalie Bob Whidden on January 24, 1974. It wasn’t enough, however, and after twice failing to make the playoffs, the World Hockey Association team was moved to Calgary in 1975.
