Built in 1929, this building in Mount Pleasant is on the heritage watch list, as it has some architectural significance.

"Simon Fraser School Annex (1929) at 123 East 6th Avenue, designed by Henry Walter Postle, has architectural merit as an intact example of institutional Arts & Craft-style architecture, as expressed in a two-storey form with paired gabled dormers and its quintessential half-timbering detailing on stucco and wood frame," notes Heritage Vancouver.

Unfortunately, its future has been the subject of some debate in recent years, as it sits on city-owned land that has been rezoned to increase density.

The Annex was slated to be relocated and a 12-storey office building will be built behind it, set to open in 2025.

These images show the Simon Fraser School Annex in 1930 and 2020.
